Why You Should Consider Two Countries for Your Next Trip

Who says a vacation has to be limited to one destination? Not me, that’s for sure.

Do you have a bucket list that never seems to shrink? A bunch of PTO burning a hole in your pocket? Passport pages begging to be filled up?

You know how some things are just better together?

Like peanut butter and jelly, or salt and a margarita rim. And in the case of travel, some countries are a perfect match.

Below, you’ll find a few perfectly paired itineraries where visiting two countries in one trip doesn’t just sound good, it actually makes sense.

Spain and Portugal

If you’re looking for high contrast without a ton of logistical commitment, Spain and Portugal are it.

It’s a smart way to add something unexpected to a European trip without overcomplicating the route.

📌 Perfect For: Travelers who want an itinerary that’s easy to navigate.

🗓️ Plan On: 10 days minimum

✍️ Side Note: With a few extra days you can add in more days in Spain, like Seville.

London and Paris

London and Paris are a perfect pairing, especially for your first trip over the water! The train between the 2 cities makes it very easy to start in one country and end in the other.

Museums, history, shopping, wine tasting….the list is endless!

📌 Perfect For: Honeymooners, milestone celebrations, or trips with your teenagers and young adults.

🗓️ Plan On: 8-10 days minimum

✍️ Side Note: London and Paris have nonstop flights from many U.S. airports, making this trip even more seamless and low stress.

Italy and Switzerland

Italy is big and can definitely be a stand alone vacation but pairing it with Switzerland really enhances this itinerary!

Wine tastings, all the history and beautiful scenery make this a great combination!

📌 Perfect For: Couples and friends traveling, big anniversaries, and families who have been to other parts of Europe.

🗓️ Plan On: 10-12 days minimum, you can even add in Germany or Austria.

✍️ Side Note: This pairing shines when flights, hotels, and pacing are planned with care. A little strategy goes a long way here.

This is far from a full list of destinations that pair well together. If any of these caught your eye or if you’re wondering whether spots on your bucket list might make a good match, send me an email and let’s talk!

I’m happy to play matchmaker.

Leave me a comment and let me know which two countries you would pick.
