FlipBelt review

**I bought this FlipBelt with my own money, at full price. All opinions are my own!**

 FlipBelt

I grabbed my Flip Belt at the Dallas Marathon Expo. I’ve been wanting to try it for a while. I’ve heard great things about it, so far, I really like it. I committed the cardinal sin and wore it in the marathon that weekend. Honestly, it worked great.

This morning I discovered it will hold a water bottle from my fuel belt. It’s a squeeze bottle so maybe not in the winter, chances are the water will end up all over you! But, if you are desperate it’ll work.

For the marathon I carried my phone, 3 of the Advocare gels, chapstick and my FitBit fits on the band. You can see the Advocare gels are bigger than other packages but I got 3 in there just fine. I wore my phone in the back, in a baggy. (I have the iPhone 6 for comparison.) If you have a rubber case it’s hard to get the phone in and out. But in a baggy it’s no problem and your phone will stay dry that way too.

This morning I also stuck my key in it, use the hook just in case. That is not something you want to lose while running.

Here’s everything stuffed in it. I have a size medium. I like to wear it lower, on my hips, not my waist.

Cons: can’t think of much I don’t like.

  • Price is a little higher than other belts, but I’m hopeful in the long run it’ll be worth it.

Pros:

  • Color selection, lots to choose from.
  • Holds plenty of stuff.
  • Fits tight against you.
  • No bouncing around.
  • Machine washable. I air dry mine.

I am carrying this one in New Orleans next weekend as well. I’ll use the water stops like I did in Dallas. I can definitely recommend this belt. I’ll update again after New Orleans!

What do you wear to carry your phone, keys, gels, etc?

Anyone else wear a FlipBelt?

Happy running,
