There are a lot of family-friendly, all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming trying to pick one. I narrowed down a few that have water parks in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

These resorts with water parks are sure to be a hit with the whole family!

Family-Friendly Resorts with Water Parks

Dreams Macao Beach

Dreams Macao Beach is in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Flights from DFW nonstop are a little over 4 hours. Dreams is a great family brand with lots of activities and entertainment. A lot of their resorts have guaranteed connecting rooms for families to have more space. This Dreams Resort has a water park with a lazy river as well as a kids club and teen club. They also have a 2 bedroom villa with a private pool for a more luxurious vacation.

Royalton Punta Cana

Royalton Punta Cana, also in the Dominican Republic is another great option for a resort with a water park. This hotel has rooms with 2 queen beds instead of doubles. They also let you pay a small fee to pick your actual room number. This is great when you have multiple rooms that want to be near each other. The water park for Royalton is located behind the hotel at their sister property, Splash Punta Cana. You can also choose to stay at Splash, it’s a more budget option and it’s not on the beach.

Hard Rock Riviera Maya

This Hard Rock is about an hour south of Cancun. They have a family and adult section. The water park is included and has areas for all ages. They have deluxe rooms with double beds and 2 bedroom Sky Terrace suites and lots in between. The resort also has laser tag and a bowling alley, both at an additional cost.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo and Maya

Iberostar Paraiso complex has 5 resorts. The Maya and Lindo share restaurants and amenities and have included access to the water park. The Grand is the adult section and you have access to the entire property. The Beach and Del Mar is the lower-priced section and the water park is not included. You do have to buy day passes if you want to access it. The Maya and Lindo section offers standard rooms, junior suites, and 2-bedroom suites and amenities such as a wave pool and lazy river.

Riu Dunamar

The Riu Dunamar is about 45 minutes north of Cancun. It’s on a great beach in Costa Mujeres. This Riu is a more budget-conscious resort with standard rooms and two-bedroom suites. They have a water park with slides for older kids and a splash park for younger kids. You can also stay at their sister hotel next door, the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres and have more amenities and access to the water park.
