We had a crazy, busy weekend and I never got my marathon training update out. Saturday, Ally was in a cooking competition with 4-H. It was literally all day. They had electrical issues with all the cooking so they didn’t really get to finish cooking their dish. The competition had to be revised to accommodate it. My long run was Sunday, 12 miles. It’s finally taper time!!
Cowtown is in 13 days.
Yikes.
As soon as I hit the 10 day mark I will start watching the weather to decide what to wear. Sunday morning was 40 degrees and very, very foggy. It felt like rain. It was still dark and I needed a long sleeve. But 40’s in the sun could/should be warm enough for short sleeves.
Last week wasn’t great. I had ok days, but not good days where food is concerned, and I can tell.
- Water: pretty good, except Saturday
- Food: meh, needs to be much better!
- Workouts: good, several days of abs, weights, running and cross training
- Eating out: so-so. I already have a better start to this week with food prep last night!
I made chicken taco soup, egg muffins, oatmeal bites for pre-runs, and chicken salad for lunch.
Don’t forget about the Active Accessories giveaway, it ends in 2 days!
How do you decide what to wear for a race?
