Is it just me or is this year flying by?? Time needs to slow down.
I’m a day later than normal with this post, but my long run wasn’t until this morning and I wanted that included.
Training this week:
Sunday: Gym day (stair master and weights)
Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: 2.91 miles, 10:58 pace
Wednesday: 3 miles on the treadmill, weights and abs
Thursday: 3 miles on the treadmill, abs and stretching
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: Elliptical, weights and abs
Sunday: 18.75 miles, 9:50 pace
Tuesday morning brought foot pain, I think it’s my sesamoid bone in the ball of my foot. I cut my run short and hit the treadmill on Wednesday and Thursday. I stopped before the pain got bad so I’m hoping the light running this week did the trick. I also have inserts that have a metatarsal pad on them from January when this first happened.
19 miles was actually 18.75. It was rough. I wasn’t mentally or physically in the game today. It was hilly, it was the coldest temps we’ve had so far. Everything hurt. I really can’t explain it. I know runners have bad runs, it’s to be expected, but it was hard to swallow today. I came home, took an ice bath, a hot shower, had a protein shake and hit the restart button for today.
While I left my bags of ice unattended to get my apple cider, this happened.
Why yes, that is my 13 year old lab eating my ice. He tore the bag open and had it all over the floor.
The time for today’s run is pretty good, except for the 4 stops where my watch is paused.
I got my very first Influenster VoxBox this week!
So far, I’ve tried the blueberry Belvita biscuits (they are good!), the Rimmell mascara, and the inserts today in my boots. I love the inserts. Still testing out the mascara.
Ally ran another 5k yesterday morning and she took 1st place, overall female. Yep, my girl won the race. Her time was 24:29 with lots of hills. Those are tough hills that I run weekly. I could not be prouder!
