Week 6 is done!! Today was 14 miles and I’ve run that once before, back in May. It was a little tough today. The weather was a bit cooler but 14 is hard. I’m definitely ready for the weather to cool off.
Everything from here on out is new territory! I’m looking forward to seeing how I do, but a little scared as well! I have a great team to train with and I know that will make it easier.
Training this week:
Sunday: Gym day, cardio and weights, hit a PR on the bench press of 60 pounds!
Monday: Rest day
Tuesday: 5 miles, 10:26 pace
Wednesday: 3 miles on the treadmill plus weights
Thursday: Speed intervals, 4 miles, 9:40 pace
Friday: Rest day
Saturday: 14 miles, 10:40 pace
We tell ourselves we love speed work! It’s hard but my group is seeing some improvement so it’s worth it!
Finally found some PB2 to try.
Ally and some friends did their first color run this morning. It looked like fun but also a big mess!
And here it is. 14 miles.
