I finally broke down and returned the Mizuno Wave Sayonara’s, I just don’t think I’m cut out for them. Ally ended up with a new pair instead. It was the first time she got fitted for running shoes. And on a side note, my 11 year old wears size 9 running shoes….
Training this week looked like this:
Sunday: Gym day, weights and cardio
Monday: Rest Day
Tuesday: Run 4.72 miles, 10:11 pace
Wednesday: Unplanned rest day. Had to work and ran out of time!
Thursday: Run 5.17 miles, 9:50 pace
Friday: Gym day, weights and cardio
Saturday: 10k with Ally, 10:43 pace. We walked a little, but she got it done!
I’ve been busy getting my marathon plan into my calendar. Training officially starts the week of August 4!

Tuesday Morning run in new ProCompression socks. Aren’t the retro socks cute??
This morning we ran our summer MRTT Virtual Race. The theme was Running Mad (Alice in Wonderland), it was Ally’s first 10k! The weather was weird. Started out cool and very cloudy. About the time we finished the sun was coming out, but not as warm as I would expect for July.
I set my alarm for 5:30AM.
Ally helped me make the signs for the race. I think they turned out cute.
