Weekly Recap!

WeeklyRecap1

Nothing too exciting this week. It was our first full week of not having to get up for school (I still have to work). On my day off this week Ally and I had eye doctor appointments (I’m still blind), had lunch, did a little shopping and went swimming with some friends. I told her we’d make a list of things to do this summer. We have a family membership to the Perot Museum so I imagine we’ll be there some this summer.

I need to work on dinner planning  a bit. Summer also brings laziness and me not wanting to cook, especially after track workouts in the sun! So, I need some salads and quick meals that aren’t just sandwiches. I know we will get tired of that quick.

Workouts this week:

This week’s workouts were great! I took an actual honest to goodness rest day on Tuesday and slept in! I haven’t done that in a long time and it was much needed!

Sunday: 4 miles, 9:50 pace. Very hot and humid!

Monday: Swam 30 minutes, weights and abs at home

Tuesday: REST DAY!

Wednesday: Gym workout with cardio and weights. Track workout at night.

Thursday: 5 miles, 10:00 pace and weights at the gym.  Not too bad, but not quite back in the groove yet.

Friday: Weights and abs at home

Saturday: 6 miles, 9:36 pace and weights at the gym. I think I’m getting my groove back!

I looked back at my miles last June and I only ran 40 miles, that was over a 50% drop from May. In July I picked things back up. I was hoping this June would be better than last year but so far I’m not sure. I’m only at 34 miles so far.

Just some random pictures from this week!
